Portsmouth Historical Society Receives Grant

PHS President Jim Garman, treasurer Mike Paglierani and Dave Duggan receive the award.

At an awards ceremony on January 11, PHS President Jim Garman, Treasurer Mike Paglierani and board member Dave Duggan had the great honor of receiving an official notice of the awarding of a Rhode Island Historic Preservation Grant to the society.  The grant will provide $30,000 in funds to restore the 1865 building that is the museum and headquarters for the society.  This is a matching grant and the Historical Society needs community support to make this grant a reality.
